I have had the privilage of capturing a few precious moments in this family’s life. They were recently blessed with a baby girl and they wanted me to capture that moment it time for their family. She looked so beautiful in the little ballerina skirt, it seemed as if she was dancing.

I also was able to see her big brother again, it had been a long time since I had last seen him and I was shocked to see how much more handsome he had gotten. He seemed so different and so grown up.

The kids aunty celebrated her sweet 16 and they wanted to have some portaits as well of such a big event in her life. It was so nice to be able to see all of them again after a year or so of our last session, such a lovely family. Congratulations to all on the big events

Our friends wanted to update their old family photos and they asked me to do that for them and I was delighted. Their little girls seem to have so much fun at the beach trying to get away from the waves that hit the rocks. Their youngest reminded me of Shirley temple with her sweet little face and her adorable tight curls. Their oldest doesn’t fall behind, sweet and so pretty, beautiful family for sure inside and out.

This little girl knew how to move, she posed each time and made some cute moves too, apparently she love to dance, she was the sweetest little girl. I am in misbelief at how much my godchild has grown, it was only a few months ago that I had gone to his baptism in Mexico. Now he’s changed so much he was all smiles, he has beautiful big brown eyes something he inherited from his mama, he is the greatest baby ever, the whole time he stayed with us I rarely heard him cry, maybe once or twice. It seemed as there was no baby, he is such a happy little guy and I can’t wait to see him again.

What a wonderful family this was, their lovely girls were so fun and easy going. Their oldest was a bit shy but once we got a little more aquainted she opened up and became her self. They wanted to do the session in the backyard, at first I asked if there was shade but there were no trees and I was concerned a bit. When I arrived it was a bit overcast and when I saw their yard I could not resist. We ened having most of the session outback as they suggested. They had the most beautiful wanter fall with a lot of open space, it was beautiful and luckily the weather cooperated as well.

VaneflyStudios | Birthday Party

We recently attended our friend daughter’s 5th birthday party, which took place at La Jolla Shores. I knew it would be very hard to bring my good SLR with me specially knowing that I would be chasing after my two year old, not to mention that it was at the beach which made it more of a challenge to keep my camera sand free. Instead I took my little Canon PowerShot SD790 as I usually do when I know I’ll be on a go but still want to capture some good memories.

I started snapping away the few little chances that I got while my little one was around all the other kids from the party specially the birthday girl. It made it really hard not only because of my little one but because every time I directed my camera to the birthday girl she would shy away. Her dad had told me at a prior event that her daughter does not like getting her picture taken, and well I was lucky enough to capture one photo of her.

I knew that since I was using my point and shoot that I would probably have to do some real processing after wards to fix background, sharpness, contrast and other but I think the end result was pretty good if I can say so myself. I also got quite a few photos of her sister who was standing still for me when taking her photo, such a great little model. Aren’t they the most beautiful little girls?

It’s amazing how kids grow up so quickly, I can still quite remember when I did the first photo shoot for this little girl and her parents. She was only a few months old and was so tiny now she’s two and all grown up and more beautiful every time I see her.
